Review: Banila Co. Clean It Zero

The Banila Co. Clean it Zero is a sorbet-soft cleansing balm that melts into an oil like cleanser on the skin. The cleansing balm removes makeup and impurities. Like an oil cleansing but not as messy and easy to travel with. It’s a very popular Kbeauty product!

[Banila Co.] Clean It Zero

“Lightweight sorbet-like textured makeup removing cleansing balm that whisks away pore-clogging impurities.”

Packaging:
It doesn’t look like a makeup remover but rather a skincare product. The product comes in a tub, a basic plastic container with a little spatula, which is handy. I like the soft pastel pink they used for the packaging.

Ingredients:
Mineral Oil, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEG-20 Glyceryl Triisostearate, PEG-10 Isostearate, Polyethylene, Butylene Glycol, Water, Rubus Suavissimus (Raspberry) Leaf Extract, Bambusa Arundinacea Stem Extract, Aspalathus Linearis Leaf Extract, Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Leaf Extract, Angelica Polymorpha Sinesis Root Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Malpighia Glabra (Acerola) Fruit Extract, Epilobium Angustifolium Leaf Extract, BHT, Butylparaben, CI 16255, CI 15985, Fragrance

Texture:
A consistency that is smooth and soft like a sorbet, hint the spotlight of this product. It melts into an oil when you massage it on the skin. It is basically an oil cleanser in a solid form.

Scent:
It has a very light florally sweet scent.

How to use:
Scoop a small amount of product using the spatula and gently massage it on dry face then rinse.
The warm of your hand and skin will melt the cleansing balm and remove the makeup and impurities.

(Waterproof eyeliners, Lipsense/pink, and Tony Moly tint/orange)

Overall:

It removes makeup very well, but it’s not my favorite makeup remover. The thing I like the most about this product is that it can remove waterproof eye makeup, however, it is quite uncomfortable for my eyes. It blurs my vision for a minute if I get any product in my eyes. Although it doesn’t hurt, I would rather not go through that so I stopped using it to remove my eye makeup. My eyesight is already bad as it is (without my contacts and glasses) so with it blurring my vision I feel blind. Oh! speaking of that, try not to get it in your eyes while wearing contacts. That would not be great. Again, it’s not painful just uncomfortable for the eyeballs. For me, it is not as bad with regular oil cleansers.

It does an alright job with removing the Lipsense lipgloss and tint. As you can see from the picture above there are still some colors on my hand but those are very difficult to remove. Also, I feel like it leaves a bit of a greasy film even after rinsing it off. I do us a cleanser after using this product, but I just can’t get over the greasy part. Although this is one of the best sellers for Kbeauty skincare I just couldn’t love it.

Where to buy:

Pros:
– Removed waterproof makeup
-Travel friendly
-Doesn’t dry out the skin

Cons:
-Greasy film right after rinsing it off
-Blurs the vision if it gets into the eyes.

Rating:
2.5/5
