Review| Tony Moly Pokemon Cleansers

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know my love for Pokemon. I was so excited when I heard Tony Moly is doing a collaboration with Pokemon. There was no doubt that I had to get these cleansers when I saw it on Jolse.com. I got it on sale for around $8.

The Pikachu cleanser was new when this photo was taken, and the Squirtle cleanser has been used 2 times.

Ingredients List (first 6) for both cleansers: Purified water, palmitic acid, static acid, myristic acid, glycerin, and lauric acid.

Thank you @maskmetics, for translating the ingredients list into English for me!♥

How to use:

Squeeze out about a dime size into your palm, and lather it up before gently massaging it onto the face. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water

Pikachu Moisture Foam Cleanser:

“This moisture foam cleanser effectively removes impurities from skin with moisturizing foam containing olive leaf extract” – Tony Moly

This cleanser is suitable for all skin types. It contains olive (moisturizing) and lime (antioxidant). It’s supposed to be Vanilla scented, but it actually has a soapy and floral scent. I don’t like the sweet vanilla scent, so I didn’t mind this. The foaming ability is good; I give it a 4/5.

Squirtle (Kkobugi) Hydrating Foam Cleanser:

“This hydrating foam cleanser effectively removes impurities from skin with hydrating foam containing nelumbium speciosum flower extract.” -Tony Moly

This cleanser is suitable for normal to dry skin type. It contains lotus (protects the skin) and Hyaluronic Acid  (moisturizing). It has a strong floral scent. The foaming ability is not so good. It dissipates quickly, so I give this a 3/5.

Thoughts:
These two cleansers are gentle in term of foaming cleaners. It doesn’t give my skin that squeaky clean feeling, like most foam cleansers, such as Innisfree green tea foam cleanser.

Due to it being gentle, I use it in the morning since the scent is strong enough to wake me up, but not too strong to the point of it irritating my nose. It doesn’t break me out, that is of course always a good thing. Also, let’s talk about the adorable packaging. The products are just too cute!

Overall, I think these are average cleansers.

Pros:
Gentle
Adorable Packaging
Not irritating
Suitable for most skin types

Cons:
Strong artificial smell
Not squeaky clean

Ratings:
Packaging 6/5
Scent: 4/5
Lather: Pikachu 4.5/5   Squirtle 2.5/5
Makeup removal:

Overall: 3.5/5

The squirtle is hyaluronic acid and lotus. I really have to have this now, for my dry old lady face, lol.
